Guilty: Sussex County Man, 42, Was Drunk During Crash That Injured Pedestrian

A Sussex County man admitted in court to being intoxicated during a crash in which he struck and injured a pedestrian, authorities announced.

Raymond J. Dziadul, 42, of Stanhope pleaded guilty to assault by auto and DWI in Sussex County Court on Friday, June 10, Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said.

Dziadul admitted that he was driving drunk and struck and injured the victim during the crash, Koch said.

He was sentenced on the DWI charge to a four-month license loss followed by nine months of mandatory interlock device usage, 12 hours at the intoxicated driver resource center, and payment of $689 in fines.

Dziadul is scheduled to be sentenced to the assault by auto charge on Friday, July 29.

Dziadul was represented by Carl Zoecklein, Esq., while the state was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
